It all starts with a simple thought, that learning should be fun.

With life becoming more fast-paced with each passing day, it’s no wonder that children nowadays are less inclined towards picking up a book. Combined with school curriculums which are monotonous and uninspiring, this adds up to create a learning environment that is far from ideal.

With LSRW, our goal is to break the monotony and explore a new way of looking at the learning process, aimed at engaging young minds, providing an entertaining platform for children to gain knowledge.

In a nutshell, LSRW represents a revolution in language and vocabulary development aimed at creating a seamless
learning experience that a child can actually enjoy.
Let’s have a look at what each aspect of LSRW is all about.

listening character

A young mind is a blank slate....the first things a child writes is through listening. Listening is a tool to enhance the thought process. What children listen to is what they think about and ultimately implement. It not only registers, but also ignites the creative cells to visualize what they are listening to and create beautiful worlds of their own without boundaries. As quoted by Simon Sinek, “The mind is at work to understand WHY a question was asked rather than WORDS of the question asked!” The first step is thus achieved of grasping from listening.

speaking character

A beautiful thought by Rob Brown - “If you can speak, you can influence. If you can influence, you can change lives.” Once children develop their foremost skill of sharp listening, they start putting words to thoughts. It influences the process of building and expressing. As observed by Somers white – “A good speaker is a good listener, who hears what lesser speakers fail to!” LSRW aims to channelize the young mind’s thought process in the most natural way, not to be mistaken with the guided methods.

reading character

“Today a Reader, Tomorrow a Leader” proclaims Margaret Fuller. This stands true in the growth of a child’s curious mind, forming the next step after listening and speaking skills have developed. A good speaker will only go places with the help of a good reading habit, established at the earliest, to form the foundation for being a good writer. A good reader has the capacity to monitor their own thinking while reading, leading to logical reasoning, curious questioning and scientific agreement.

writing character

Finally we reach the most important stage - writing. It’s a beautiful cycle in which a child’s journey begins from listening, leading to speaking and then to reading, with writing being the destination. Writing to a young mind is nothing but lines, circles and scribbles that converge to form a free and unique expression. At LSRW, we ensure that right from the first stage of good listening up to the goal of good writing, the emphasis is always on fun. “Don’t forget – no one else sees the world the way you do, so no one else can tell stories as well as you can do.”

Beyond the Basics

The stories through which LSRW connects with children have been written in a way that feels interactive, enabling the reader to almost feel the words as the story progresses, thus creating a bond between the child and the characters of the book.

Going beyond language development, the goal is to incorporate this method into the teaching of Maths and Science, to foster the idea among children, that learning any subject should be something to get excited about.

Creative Spirit

Through the program’s emphasis on writing, we provide a helping hand for the growth of a child’s artistic talents, through books that specialize on hand-eye co-ordination, along with artistic handwriting sessions, which enable total control of the pencil, an essential skill for any artist.

Big Plans

There’s a lot in store for the future of LSRW. Here’s a glance at what’s yet to come:

  1. Creative writing and oratory classes based on LSRW and a well researched curriculum for students above the age of 6.
  2. Encouraging young storytellers between 6 and 14 years of age, with visibility on various media.
  3. Designing, editing, publishing and marketing books written by young authors of the same age...and much more!

Her belief in the philosophy of LSRW has enabled her to create a magical world within the books that have the power to capture the imaginations of children.

Albert Einstein’s observation, that “Every child is a genius” is the driving force behind her work, through which she creates a canvas where children can freely express themselves and give rise to masterpieces.

Children may be 20 percent of the population today, but they are 100 percent of our future and to fill that future with greater possibilities, she wants to be a part of a system that looks past the gradation of young minds and puts the emphasis on educating and empowering them.
